ACH RETURN TO FORD MOTOR COMPANY QUESTION & ANSWER Q1. Once an employee is contacted that he/she has been selected to transfer to a plant are they required to transfer? A1. Yes, an employee's selections on the location preference form are irrevocable after March 28, 2008. Once an employee is notified of their transfer to a Ford facility, the employee must report to the new location on the required reporting date. If the employee does not report to work on the transfer date, they will be considered AWOL and after a period of time, will be terminated as a Voluntary Quit. Employee's elections will be used to satisfy the requirements of this Ford posting. Should future opportunities arise; additional postings will be forwarded to locations. Q2. Will the transfers be based on seniority? A2. Yes, Ford Service Date will be used to determine seniority preferences for employees in production classifications. In the case of a tie, the employee whose last four digits of their social security number are the greatest will be determined to have the greater seniority (ex. 9999). Date of Entry will be used to determine seniority preferences for employees in skilled trade classifications. In cases of a tie, the employee with the highest Ford Service Date will be determined to have the greater seniority. If the Ford Service Date is the same, the employee whose last four digits of their social security number are the greatest will be determined to have the greater seniority. Q3. Can I choose more than one location? A3. You may select as many available locations as you like on the location preference form. However, you will be required to transfer to any one of the locations you elected based on seniority and available openings so please be mindful of your elections. You will be required to prioritize your location preferences. Q4. What if I submit a location preference form but I fail to prioritize or elect locations? A4. If you submit a form, you must have at least one election on the form. Prioritizing is important because you will be required to transfer to one of the locations that you elect based on seniority and available openings. Q5. What if I do not want to be placed at a certain plant? A5. If you have only ranked a limited number of plant locations and you do not have the seniority to be placed at one of your preferred locations, you will remain working at your current location until there is a sale or closure. Q6. Will there be a relocation allowance? A6. Employees may be eligible for a Relocation Allowance as outlined in Article IX, Section 28 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Employees who transfer in-zone are eligible to receive a Relocation Allowance if the distance between their current plant and the plant to which they are transferring is 50 miles or greater. Out of zone transfers are eligible to receive a Special Transfer Incentive (STI) and Basic Relocation or an Enhanced Relocation as outlined in Article IX, Section 28 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. For purposes of out of zone transfers, the zones used to determine eligibility are listed in Appendix N, Attachment A of the Master Agreement. Q7. What about spouses who work at the same location? Will they be given special consideration? A7. Transfers must be governed strictly based on seniority. Q8. Can a Ford employee leased to ACH-LLC transfer back to an ACH-LLC Plant? A8. No. Employees electing to go to a Ford Motor Company facility terminate their basic unit seniority at all other locations and are not eligible for Article VIII, Section 1(b) or Appendix O, Return to Basic Unit Provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Q9. What happens if I do not turn in an ACH Return to Ford location preference form (formerly known as Flowback survey)? A9.
