Don't let this happen to you. Two of the four people involved in this accident were killed, the other two were hospitalized.

The Golden Rule of winter driving
One rule stands above them all when it comes to winter driving: if you don't absolutely, positively have to go someplace in your car or truck, don't.

Quite simply, the best way to prevent being in an accident, is to not be on the road. So, think carefully about how important it is for you to make that trip when there's four or five inches of snow on the roads. Is it really so important that you're willing to risk wrecking your car or getting injured, even KILLED ?

Of course, sometimes you really do have to venture out into inclement weather, be it to pick up the kids from daycare or to get home from work, In those instances, employing a little common sense should serve you well and minimize your chances of becoming involved in an accident.
