Fall Classes
Introduction to Computers-(6 sessions) Tuesdays & Thursdays beginning Sept. 10, 2002. Get the most from your computer. Learn the components of windows, basic functions of a computer, and basic word processing.

Internet Workshop - (One 3-hr. session) Wed., Sept. 18, 2002. Review the Home Page of Netscape Navigator, review the buttons, use the search engine, discuss hyperlinks and graphic hyperlinks, surf the net. Limit - 6 students per class.

Print Artist Workshop - (One 3 hr. session) Wed., Oct. 2, 2002. Learn to create beautiful cards, impressive banners, 3-D crafts and more. Limit - 6 students per class.

Getting The Most From Your Digital Camera - (6 sessions) Wednesdays, Nov. 6 - 21, 2002. First, learn how to use your digital camera and then, learn how to use your photos creatively. Limit - 6 students per class.

Intermediate Computers-(6 sessions) Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Oct. 8, 2002. This class will include Windows maneuvers, shortcuts to the desktop, moving/copying files, renaming files, creating new folders and a deeper look at the MS Office Suite.

Create Your Own Iron-On Transfers - (One 3-hour session) Either Wed., Oct 23 or Wed. Dec. 11, 2002. Using your photos on disk or our graphics software, create your own transfers to iron on T-shirts. Personalize clothing for you or your children or grandchildren. Limit 6 students per class. 

French Workshop-(2 sessions) Wednesdays, Nov. 13 & Nov. 20, 2002. Learn words and phrases in French. Take home a cassette of French songs. Have fun and learn something new!

Write Your Own Life Story - (6 sessions) Mondays & Wednesdays, beginning Oct. 7, 2002. Have you ever thought of writing your own life story and sharing life-altering events? Does your family really know about their heritage? Writing the story of your life can inspire, entertain, and even heal. 

Beginning Algebra & Geometry Individualized instruction is available in both of these subjects. Set your own time and days. 

SKILL BUILDING PROGRAM
Are you ready to learn but in need of a little brush-up before you tackle college-level courses? This individualized program includes refreshers in math, reading and writing. Set your own schedule. One-on-one instruction. 
HIGH SCHOOL COMPLETION AND GED-If you have ever thought about completing high school or receiving a GED, talk to Carol in the Learning Center. You have already gained credits through work and life. It may be easier than you ever imagined.
All Learning Center classes are available to employees, their spouses, retirees and their spouses.

Congratulations to Jennifer Shepherd, winner of the June/July book: Let Freedom Ring. The book for August is The Complete Book of Collectible Cars. More than 1,000 domestic and foreign cars are featured in concise, lively histories. Sign up in the Learning Center to win this book for August.

We will feature a drawing at the Learning Center table at the Health and Education Fair on August 28, 2002 of a three volume set of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings.
