MARCH STUDENT OF THE MONTH

Congratulations to Elizabeth James, our March Student of the Month. Elizabeth has taken Introduction to Computers, an Internet Workshop, and is currently participating in  Intermediate Computers.  MS Word and Outlook Workshop are also planned for the spring.  She has been doing income taxes for over 30 years, and needs to stay updated on computers. Instructor, Carolyn Hill, states that Elizabeth is a joy to have in class.  She has a good attitude and is willing to tackle any class projects.

Elizabeth has a lovely husband of six years, six children and 11 grandchildren.  She and her husband have just built a house in Milan.  Along with her interest in taxes, she also sings at her church.

We salute Elizabeth, and wish her well in her educational endeavors.

Apprenticeship Test Preparation

The Learning Center will be conducting pre-assessments in math and reading the weeks of March 26 and April 2, 2001.  Each assessment will be about one hour in length and will determine areas you may need to brush up in preparation for the Apprenticeship Test.  Call the Learning Center at (734) 429-6560 for an appointment.

Classes in math and reading will be held during April and May.  You are welcome to attend any or all of these classes.  Schedules will be given out at the pre-assessments or may be picked up at the Learning Center.
