Brothers & Sisters,

International Union (UAW) Reopens National Supplemental (Visteon) Agreement
On May 24, 2005, a Call Letter was sent to our Local requesting the Chairman, Tom Kanitz, President, Mark Caruso and National Ford Delegate, Kathy Kruger attend a special National Ford Council meeting to inform us of the most recent contractual changes. Our International Union Representatives are seeking a ratification vote UAW wide regarding the decision to open the National Supplemental (Visteon) Agreement which grandfathers all of its current UAW Visteon members as Ford UAW members. Additionally, most (see; II RESTRUCTURING PLAN) UAW Visteon plants will become LLC "Limited Liability Company." We will remain Ford workers with Ford benefits. If there is a purchaser for our plant, they will have to honor the National Agreement, and Ford will subsidize our wages and benefits at our current rates. The current Visteon UAW members will become Ford workers effective October 1, 2005, and will be given credit for seniority on vacation and retirement back to their Visteon seniority date. They will be under the National Agreement and receive the same wages and benefits that Ford workers currently have. As a result of these negotiations, spearheaded by our International Staff and the National Negotiators, which includes Saline, Ford has committed to investing at least 1 billion dollars in the LLC plants and supply work into the Master Agreement plants. We look forward to enjoying new business slated for Saline. The ratification voting date for Local 892 union members is set for May 31, 2005. This special vote will take place at the Local Union Hall at 601 Woodland Drive, Saline, MI 48176. Our International Servicing Representative, Chuck Browning will be at the Local for three separate Q&A sessions so that our membership can ask any questions prior to voting that day. Those times will be: 8:30am, 1:30pm and 4:30pm. This is a very critical time in all of our futures, so please come out and support your International Union and all of our livelihoods.

* COLA (Cost of Living Allowance) Adjustment
The 2003 UAW-Ford Collective Bargaining Agreement provides that two dollars ($2.00) of the two dollars and five cents ($2.05) cost-of-living adjustment shall be folded into the base rate, leaving five cents (5cents) COLA in the "float." Cost-of-living adjustments are based upon the three-month average of CPI-W 1982/84-100-W, U.S. city average, all items less medical care.

The three-month average for February, March and April 2005 is 183.13, yielding twenty-six (26 cents) per hour, after a two-cent (2 cent) diversion.

Therefore, effective June 6, 2005, the total cost-of-living received in your paycheck will be ninety-nine cents (99 cents) per hour.
