FINANCIAL SECRETARY AND OTHER
VACANCIES THAT MAY OCCUR.

ANY ELECTED OR APPOINTED OFFICIAL WHO DESIRES TO RUN FOR THESE VACANCIES, MUST SUBMIT A WRITTEN RESIGNATION TO PRESIDENT DON CATTELL AT UAW LOCAL 892 AT 601 WOODLAND DRIVE IN SALINE, MICHIGAN 48176, PRIOR TO ACCEPTANCE OF NOMINATION ON APRIL 30, 2001.

NOMINATIONS: Acceptance of nominations will be on April 30, 2001, at UAW Local 892 Hall at 601 Woodland Drive in Saline, Michigan from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Nominations must be accepted in person, or by mailing a certified letter to the Election Committee Chairperson, UAW Local 892, P.O. Box 241, Saline, Michigan 48176-0241. Letters must arrive by 6:00 PM on April 30, 2001, and include the members' name, social security number, and the office for which he or she is accepting nomination. Nominees must have at least one year of continuous good standing in Local 892 and the International Union UAW.

ELECTION: All active members and retirees may vote on Monday, May 14, 2001 from 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the UAW Local 892 Union Hall at 601 Woodland Drive in Saline, Michigan.
RUN-OFF ELECTION: If a run-off election is necessary, it will be held on Monday, May 21, 2001 from 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Active members and retirees may vote at the UAW Local 892 Union Hall at 601 Woodland Drive in Saline, Michigan. 

ABSENTEE BALLOTS: In accordance with the UAW Constitution and applicable Federal and State law, absentee ballots will be made available to those persons away from the polls on election day due to union or company assignment only. Eligible members should contact Ethel Patton, Dept. 2721 Molding - day shift, for a ballot. Ballots must be mailed to UAW Local 892 Election Committee, P.O. Box 241, Saline, Michigan 48176-0241, and received no later than 6:00 PM on May 14, 2001. Notice: No absentee ballots will be given for members away from the polls due to lay-off, medical leave, vacation, or any other absences except union or company assigned work on election day.
